Overview
This workshop explores the fundamentals of stakeholder management, engagement and risk management.
Course Content
This workshop offers insights into the principles of effective stakeholder engagement, an account of the different levels of engagement, an examination of who stakeholders are and how to reach them, and a review of the different methods of engagement and when they may be used. It also gives tips and tools for effective facilitation of groups and meetings, and an introduction to managing conflict in stakeholder engagement.

By the end of this course attendees should be able to:
- understand the fundamental principles of effective stakeholder engagement
- identify and manage the risks involved in stakeholder engagement
- identify key stakeholders and analyse their needs and interests
- understand and evaluate effective techniques for engaging with stakeholders
- understand the essence of good facilitation and effective conflict management
- allocate resources effectively and define priorities according to project and organisational imperatives
- apply planning principles to stakeholder engagement processes and activities.
