This workshop assists participants to learn how to help staff think about their work in a more positive and productive way, and help them feel more valued. It addresses how to prevent staff issues turning into staff problems and how to foster willingness and cooperation.
This workshop offers a practical approach to supervising staff and an introduction to the theory underpinning management supervision, and explores supervision skills and the three main functions of supervision. Participants learn what supervision is, are given a model of supervision and tools for its introduction to the workplace. They also have the opportunity to build improved interpersonal skills necessary for effective supervision and develop strategies to address resistance in the workplace. This workshop is suited to recently appointed supervisors, those aspiring to become managers or seeking supervision skills, line managers and unit managers, project leaders and team leaders.
