Secretary Valedictory with Emma Hogan

About this event

IPAA NSW occupies a privileged position working with leaders across the NSW public sector. Our Secretary Valedictory series allows departing Secretaries to provide their observations and comments in a public address.

Em Hogan has served as the Secretary for Digital, and the Department of Customer Service, for four years. During this time, she has demonstrated her commitment to delivering digital innovation and improved customer outcomes for the people of NSW. Em has led the department through a period of significant challenges in NSW, including natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic. Describing her time at the Department as “the greatest privilege of my professional career”, she said “the time is right to step aside, take a break, and make space for a change of leadership and some fresh energy during the next era for the department”.

In her IPAA Secretary Valedictory address, Emma will share her experiences and insights in areas of key interest to current and aspiring public sector leaders. Her address will range from reflecting on career milestones, to the challenges and opportunities facing the public sector.
