SPEAKER

Janet Schorer
Chief Delivery Officer
TAFE NSW

Janet Schorer is the Chief Delivery Officer for TAFE NSW where she has responsibility for the team overseeing end-to-end accountability for students from enrolment to graduation.

She has a track record in leading educational and community transformation programs including the NDIS workforce strategy and the Families NSW strategy. Beginning her career as a registered nurse, and earning qualifications in child and adolescent psychology, her passion for children and young people led her to becoming the NSW Children’s Guardian in the Office of the Children’s Guardian. Janet also led the NSW transition into the National Disability Insurance Scheme at the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet.

In June 2019, Janet’s contributions to the NSW public service were recognised when she was awarded a Public Service Medal for outstanding public services particularly through the protection of children. Janet was made a National Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration Australia in 2019 in recognition of her contribution to the development of IPAA and the public sector in Australia. She is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD), a Co-opted Councillor of the Institute of Public Administration Australia (NSW) and an Alumni Ambassador for the Australia and New Zealand School of Government.
