Melanie joined icare in July 2019 and is currently responsible for delivery of injury and risk prevention education to those we serve. This includes the design and facilitation of education programs addressing WHS risks and finding innovative solutions to embed learning.

With 18 years’ experience in WHS consulting and workplace education with organisations, Melanie is an advocate for enhancing best practice WHS in the workplace across both physical and psychosocial risks. Her strengths include facilitating growth opportunities and behavioural change for individuals and organisations.

Prior to icare, Melanie worked with a professional services firm strategically working with clients to create or improve WHS and wellness programs. Working with a range of national businesses, industries and bodies, she is adept at working with organisations to quantify and manage risk with complex business demands. Industries whom Melanie has acted for include health, transport, manufacturing, retail, professional services and aged care.

She has held both senior consultancy and management positions both at icare and prior to joining; including managing a multidisciplinary team across workers, private health and salary continuance insurances. Melanie also has extensive stakeholder and project management experience.

Melanie is a Principal Mental Health First Aid Instructor, facilitating over 60 programs to date. She has also held a Master accreditation.
