Critical Thinking Foundations

Do you need to develop foundational critical thinking skills?

IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?

Would your work benefit if you could improve problem-solving approaches and explore techniques for critical thinking?

Building awareness about the way you think and respond is an essential capability. Are you able to recognise automatic thoughts and responses and press the pause button to slow your thinking and engage in assessment of an issue rather than a knee-jerk reaction?

Awareness of our thinking is vital in enabling us to slow down, step back, fact find, and question our beliefs, assumptions, and thoughts before we act.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

You will leave this course with the foundational skills to identify and solve problems and analyse information critically.

You will learn how to recognise barriers to clear thinking and use different tools and techniques to analyse a problem.

You will finish this course being able to:

  • evaluate the risks and benefits of different courses of action.
  • make and justify decisions based on evidence.
  • present a persuasive case for action.
