WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
You will leave this course with the advanced communication and conflict resolution tools, strategies and skills needed in times of challenge and uncertainty.
You will finish the course knowing you can:
- Understand the impact of change and uncertainty and identify the different ways in which change impacts people.
- Utilise tools and strategies to raise concerns, and address tensions and inappropriate behaviours in a way that is appropriate, kind, and clear.
- Resolve conflicts as they arise drawing upon a range of strategies including curiosity, clarification, areas of common agreement, summarising, empathy and resetting expectations.
- Utilise and continue to build on advanced communication skills for connection to support others in times of change and challenge.
- Effectively set clear expectations and in doing so provide an experience of safety, certainty, support, and care to staff and the team.
- Recognise the ways that connection, communication and reflection support you and others to manage and adapt to change and strengthen these as strategies that help you support others.
- Draw upon your action plan to continue to support you and others in times of change and uncertainty.
Communication and Conflict Resolution in the Context of Change is for people at the Intermediate to Advanced levels and you will develop the following capabilities:
