The Public Sector Fundamentals Program (PSFP) has been designed by IPAA NSW to reflect the 16 capabilities in the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework. The program has 16 modules and registration is FREE for all IPAA NSW Gold, Silver & Bronze members.

Whether you're new to government, stepping into a new role, or looking to strengthen your capability for future opportunities, the Public Sector Fundamentals Program (PSFP) provides a practical foundation for success in the NSW public sector.

Developed by IPAA NSW and aligned to the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework, this 16 module self-paced program introduces the knowledge, skills and behaviours that underpin effective public sector practice. Through concise, practical modules, you'll build confidence in the capabilities expected across government and learn how to apply them in your day-to-day work.

The program is ideal for:

The program is flexible and self-directed, allowing you to choose the modules most relevant to your role, career goals and development needs. Reviewing the capability requirements in your role description can help you identify which modules will be most valuable for your ongoing development.

Each module takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and includes a short knowledge check to reinforce learning and support practical application. Modules can be completed at your own pace and revisited whenever you need a refresher.
