Gov Gathers: Aboriginal Leaders

This event is for First Nations people at Band 1 and above

About this event

Are you an Aboriginal leader interested in tips and tricks to help build your public sector career?

Would your work benefit if you had a network of Aboriginal leaders across the sector to offer insights and advice?

At this event, Mandy Young, Deputy Secretary and Chief Operating Officer for Customer Service, and Famey Williams, Chief Executive of the Aboriginal Housing Office, will discuss the barriers facing Aboriginal leaders in progressing their public sector careers.  They will offer ideas and solutions to support your career progression and reflect on the opportunities the sector has in building a strong cohort of Aboriginal leaders.

IPAA NSW aims to support the growth of Aboriginal leaders in senior executive positions in the NSW public sector. Our work is focused on nurturing a supportive community where Aboriginal leaders can connect with one another, share experiences, and collaborate on solutions.

What will you gain?

Connect with other Aboriginal leaders over a drink and canapes.

Hear from the speakers’ experience and share your own ideas and experiences to empower others.

Build your professional network to help support you in developing your public sector career.
