TAFE Microskills: Introduction to SQL

This is a beginner’s course for those who would like to learn SQL-Structural Query language, a language used in querying and manipulating Relational Databases. SQL is one of the most in-demand IT skills and as organisations collect more and more data to help them make data-driven decisions, the demand for professionals with SQL skills has also increased in recent years.

This Microskill is a basic hands-on, self-paced course to introduce you to SQL using Microsoft SQL Server as the database engine.

In this Microskill, you will learn:

  • Introduction to SQL
  • SQL Basics
  • Data Retrieving and Manipulation with SQL
  • Database Essentials: Views, Indexes, Transactions and Data Integrity
  • Understand how SQL makes way for Business Intelligence and Data Management processes
